ST LEONARD'S CHURCH, EAST KILBRIDE

BAPTISMAL INFORMATION

If you wish to make arrangements for a Baptism in our church, your first step should be to contact the parish office and make an appointment to meet with the Priest or Deacon. Please note that we do not normally agree to conduct in St Leonard's Church the baptism of a child whose home is situated in another parish. If you live in another parish and wish to have your child baptised, please contact the Priest or Deacon in that parish.

When you contact our parish office, you will be asked to provide some basic information which will help us to ensure that the arrangements for the service run smoothly and which will enable us to prepare the Certificate of Baptism. The information you are asked to provide is shown below.

Baptisms are normally conducted at 1:15 p.m. on Sundays, after the 12:00 noon Mass.

In January 2013, we prepared a little leaflet which is intended to inform parents of the meaning and importance of the Sacrament. The leaflet also sets out the responsibilities of parents and godparents/sponsors and explains the significance of the symbols used in the service. A copy of the leaflet is included below.
